Import contacts from a CSV file

1. Open Contacts → Import and download the sample CSV if you need a template.
2. Your file needs a phone column with numbers in international format (for example +971501234567). Optional columns: name, email, tags (separated by commas or semicolons) and language (en, ar, ur). Arabic and Urdu column names also work.
3. Save as CSV UTF-8 so Arabic and Urdu names are kept.
4. Upload, choose whether existing contacts should be overwritten, and tick the consent box only if these people agreed to receive WhatsApp messages.

Duplicates are merged by phone number. Rows with problems are listed so you can fix them. You can also edit, tag or delete many contacts at once with the bulk actions.
